Psychotherapy of partners, married couples and families

Most adults live in a partnership of some kind – extramarital or marital (which are equal by law), and when a child is born, they “move on” to what is called a family.

Being moved by positive feelings (love, tenderness, respect), we become attached to a person of the opposite sex, but there are few such partnerships in which, sooner or later, a misunderstanding or conflict does not occur.

Reasons for conflicts can vary from banal (where a partner puts his or her towel in the bathroom or shoes in the anteroom) to those which include shouting, swear words and accusations. Whether the conflict is going to be a temporary occurrence or becomes a lifestyle of partners/parents within a family, depends on many elements partners may or may not be aware of.

What is undeniable is that conflicts make children’s lives difficult and seriously hurt them.
If partners themselves cannot understand the reasons for their misunderstandings and cannot correct conflict-causing behavior even though they do have a positive motivation to do so, a counselor, an expert for partnership and family problems, is the right person to address for help.
